Initial Setup

  1. API Integration: Visit the Shippo API Settings to get your Live and Test API keys. Enter these in the Main settings tab.
  2. Shipper Profile: Complete your business address in the Shipper tab. Accurate "From" addresses are critical for valid carrier rates.
  3. Carrier Connection: Enable or disable specific carriers through your Shippo Dashboard. The plugin will automatically reflect your carrier preferences.

Working with Orders

  1. Open any WooCommerce order.
  2. Scroll to the Shipping Center metabox.
  3. Enter package dimensions (L x W x H) and weight.
  4. Click Calculate Rates to see a list of service options sorted by price.
  5. Select your desired service and click Purchase Label.

Debugging & Logs

If you encounter API issues, enable Debug Logging in the settings. You can then view the full request/response cycle under WooCommerce > Status > Logs to identify address format issues or API restrictions.

Q.Which carriers can I use?

Any carrier supported by Shippo, including USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, OnTrac, and dozens of international and regional carriers.

Q.Can I use my own carrier accounts?

A.

Yes. You can connect your existing carrier accounts (like your own UPS or FedEx account) in your Shippo dashboard to maintain your negotiated rates while using our interface.

Q.Do I need a special printer?

A.

No. While we support thermal printers (ZPL format), you can perfectly print labels on standard 8.5x11 paper or 4x6 adhesive sheets using a normal house printer.

Q.Does it support international shipping?

A.

Absolutely. The plugin handles customs data for international shipments and generates the necessary documentation alongside the label.

Q.Is the plugin HPOS compatible?

A.

Yes, WC Shipping Center is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
